الشركة تفوز بجائزة أفضل مشروع عالمي في فئة مشروعات الترميم لمشروع إعادة تأهيل كوبري دمياط التاريخي..وجائزة الاستحقاق لمشروع ترميم مسجد السيدة زينب رضي الله عنها
صرح المهندس شريف الشربينى، وزير الإسكان والمرافق والمجتمعات العمرانية، بأن منصة Engineering News Record- ENR العالمية، أعلنت منذ قليل عن جوائز Best Global Projects Awards لعام 2024 ، وقد فازت شركة المقاولون العرب – للعام الرابع على التوالي، ممثلة للدولة المصرية – بجائزتين، حيث حصلت الشركة على أفضل مشروع عالمي في فئة مشروعات الترميم لمشروع إعادة تأهيل كوبري دمياط التاريخي، وهو المشروع الذي قامت شركة المقاولون العرب بتنفيذه لصالح محافظة دمياط، والذي شهد الدكتور/مصطفى مدبولى، رئيس مجلس الوزراء، افتتاحه في أبريل الماضي برفقة السيد الدكتور عاصم الجزار، وزير الإسكان السابق، والدكتورة منال عوض، محافظ دمياط السابق، التي تبنت فكرة إقامة المشروع.
وجدير بالذكر أن الكوبري يُعد من أقدم الكباري الموجودة على مستوى العالم، حيث تم إنشاؤه في عام 1890 على نهر النيل فى إمبابة، كما أن تاريخ إنشاء الكوبري هو نفس تاريخ إنشاء برج إيفل بباريس، وباستخدام نفس نوع المعدات والحديد، وقد تم تنفيذ أعمال تطوير وإعادة تأهيل الكوبري لاستعادة دوره الهام، وتعظيم الاستفادة منه كأثر تاريخي مسجل بوزارة الآثار، وإعداده ليكون مركزًا تنويريا وثقافيًا لأبناء محافظة دمياط.
كما حصلت شركة المقاولون العرب على جائزة الاستحقاق لمشروع ترميم مسجد السيدة زينب رضي الله عنها، والذي نفذته شركة المقاولون العرب، لصالح وزارة الأوقاف، تحت إشراف الهيئة الهندسية للقوات المسلحة -إدارة الأشغال العسكرية، وقد افتتحه فخامة السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، فى شهر مايو الماضي برفقة سلطان البهرة بالهند .
وتوجه وزير الإسكان بخالص التهنئة والتقدير، لرئيس وأعضاء مجلس إدارة الشركة، وجميع العاملين بها، على الجهود المبذولة، والتميز المستمر فى الأداء، مؤكدا أن هذه الشركة هى خير سفير لقطاع التشييد والبناء المصرى فى الداخل والخارج، وتعتمد عليها الدولة المصرية فى مختلف مشروعاتها القومية.
The Minister of Housing: For the fourth year consecutively, “Arab Contractors” wins ENR Global Awards
The company wins ENR Global Best Projects Award in the Restoration Projects category for Damietta Archaeological Bridge Rehabilitation Project and Award of Merit for the Restoration of Al Sayyida Zainab Mosque.
Eng. Sherif El Sherbiny – Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, stated that the global Engineering News Record (ENR) platform has just announced the Global Best Projects Awards for 2024, and Arab Contractors Company—for the fourth year consecutively, representing the Egyptian state—has won two awards. The company won the Best Global Project in the Restoration category for the Rehabiltation of Damietta Archaeological Bridge, which was implemented by Arab Contractors Company for Damietta Governorate, and Dr. Mostafa Madbouly – Prime Minister, witnessed its inauguration last April, accompanied by Dr. Assem El Gazzar – former Minister of Housing, and Dr. Manal Awad – former Governor of Damietta, who adopted the idea of the project.
It is worth noting that it is one of the oldest bridges in the world, as it was built in 1890 on the Nile River in Imbaba. The date of construction of the bridge is the same as the date of construction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and using the same type of equipment and iron. The development and rehabilitation works of the bridge have been carried out to restore its important role, maximize its benefit as an archaeological monument registered with the Ministry of Antiquities, and prepare it to be an enlightening and cultural center for the people of Damietta.
Besides; the Arab Contractors Company also received the Merit Award for the restoration of Al Sayyida Zainab Mosque, which was implemented by the Arab Contractors Company for Awqaf Ministry, under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority – Military Works Department. It was inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi last May, accompanied by Sultan of Bohra in India.
The Minister of Housing extended his sincere congratulations and appreciation to the Chairman and Board Members of the Arab Contractors Company and all its employees for the exerted efforts and the continuous excellence in performance, stressing that this company is the best ambassador for the Egyptian building and construction sector and abroad, and the Egyptian state relies on its various national projects
