صيانة وترميم دار الأوبرا بالإسكندرية.. مرحلته الثانية
أعلنت منطقة “آثار الإسكندرية”، البدء فى أعمال تنفيذ المرحلة الثانية لصيانة وترميم دار الأوبرا بالإسكندرية، حيث يعد مسرح سيد درويش أو “دار أوبرا الإسكندرية”، ثانى أكبر مسرح بعد دار الأوبرا المصرية بالقاهرة، والذى أنشأ عام 1918 فى عهد الملك فؤاد الأول فى نهاية الشارع الذى يحمل اسم الملك فؤاد بمحطة الرمل .
وأكد محمد متولي مدير عام آثار الإسكندرية، أن مسرح سيد درويش أوبرا الإسكندرية مسجل فى عداد الآثار الإسلامية بالإسكندرية بقرار رئيس مجلس الوزراء رقم 449 لسنه 1990م، وتقوم إدارة الآثار بالإسكندرية بالتنسيق مع دار الأوبرا لتنفيذ المرحلة الثانية من أعمال صيانة دار الأوبرا بالإسكندرية، مشيرا الى أن أعمال المرحلة الثانية تتضمن عزل الأسقف.
كما أكد متولي، أنه تم الانتهاء من المرحلة الأولى لأعمال الصيانة والترميم تحت الاشراف الأثري لمنطقة آثار الإسكندرية بقطاع الآثار الإسلامية والقبطية واليهودية وقطاع المشروعات وبناء على موافقة اللجنة الدائمة للآثار الإسلامية والقبطية واليهودية وعلى نفقة دار الأوبرا المصرية.
وأشار الى أن أعمال المرحلة الأولى للمشروع تضمنت ترميم الواجهة الرئيسية بعناصرها الزخرفية المتنوعة والتي تم فيها إعادة الألوان الأصلية للمبنى، وكذا الواجهة الغربية والممر الرئيسي للمدخل وأعمال علاج العناصر الخشبية ودهانها وأعمال العزل الجزئي لسطح المبنى.
ويعد مسرح سيد درويش، أو دار أوبرا الإسكندرية، أحد أهم المباني الأثرية بالإسكندرية وهو تحفة فنية ومعمارية وأثرية، حيث يتميز بالنقوش الملكية المطلية بماء الذهب، وقبة بها أشكال زخرفية رائعة على شكل دائرة كتب بها أسماء أهم مؤلفي الموسيقى العالمية، كما أن له واجهه أثرية كتب عليها “تيا ترو محمد على”، ويحيط بها أشكال وجوه المسرح الأربعة الشهيرة، ويتقدم المسرح فى المدخل الرئيسى أيضا تمثال “نوبار باشا” أحد أهم التماثيل الأثرية بالإسكندرية.
تحول اسم المسرح عام 1962 إلى مسرح سيد درويش، تقديرًا وتكريمًا لعبقري الموسيقى العربية ابن مدينة الإسكندرية الشهير الموسيقار “سيد درويش”، وعقب خضوعه لوزارة الثقافة خصص لتقديم العروض المسرحية، والموسيقية دون السينمائية، حتى أدرج هذا المسرح مع مرور الزمن بقائمة التراث المصري، وبدأت عمليات مكثفة لتجديده فى عام 2000، وبعد عدة سنوات من العمل الماهر داخل المبنى من ترميم وزخرفة عالية الجودة، عاد المبنى لسابق عهده وإلى رونقه وبهائه.
جدير بالذكر ان الدولة أدخلت به الإمكانيات الفنية المتطورة، ليصبح دارًا للأوبرا المؤهلة لمنافسة دور الأوبرا العالمية ذات المستوى الراقي.
Renovation of the Opera House in Alexandria…its second phase

The Alexandria Antiquities District announced the start of implementation of the second phase of maintenance and restoration of the Opera House in Alexandria, known as the “Sayed Darwish Theater”, or the “Alexandria Opera House,” which is the second largest theater after the Egyptian Opera House in Cairo, it was established in 1918 during the reign of King Fouad I in The end of the street bearing the name of King Fouad at Raml Station.
Mohamed Metwally, Director General of Alexandria Antiquities, confirmed that the Sayed Darwish Theater of the Alexandria Opera House is registered among the Islamic monuments in Alexandria by Prime Minister’s Resolution No. 449 of 1990 AD, and the Alexandria Antiquities Department is coordinating with the Opera House to implement the second phase of maintenance work for the Opera House in Alexandria, indicating that the second phase works include insulating the ceilings.
Metwally also confirmed that the first phase of maintenance and restoration work has been completed under the archaeological supervision of the Alexandria Antiquities Area in the Islamic, Coptic and Jewish Antiquities Sector and the Projects Sector and based on the approval of the Permanent Committee for Islamic, Coptic and Jewish Antiquities and at the expense of the Egyptian Opera House.
He pointed out that the work of the first phase of the project included the restoration of the main facade with its various decorative elements, in which the original colors of the building were restored, as well as the western facade, the main corridor of the entrance, the works of treating and painting the wooden elements, and the partial insulation of the building’s roof.
The Sayed Darwish Theater, or the Alexandria Opera House, is one of the most important archaeological buildings in Alexandria. It is an artistic, architectural, and archaeological masterpiece, as it is distinguished by royal inscriptions painted with gold water, and a dome with wonderful decorative shapes in the form of a circle in which the names of the most important composers of world music are written. It also has an antique facade. It is written on it, “Tia Tru Muhammad Ali,” and it is surrounded by the shapes of the four famous faces of the stage. The stage is also preceded at the main entrance by the statue of “Nubar Pasha,” one of the most important archaeological statues in Alexandria.
In 1962, the name of the theater changed to Sayyed Darwish Theater, in appreciation and honor of the genius of Arabic music, the famous musician Sayyed Darwish, son of the city of Alexandria. After submitting to the Ministry of Culture, it was allocated to presenting theatrical and musical performances, not cinematic ones. Over time, this theater was included in the Egyptian heritage list, and it began Intensive renovation operations took place in 2000, and after several years of skilled work inside the building, including high-quality restoration and decoration, the building returned to its previous era and to its splendor and splendor.
