ميدان زويل بحي وسط الإسكندرية يضئ بالخلايا الضوئية بعد تطويره ورفع كفاءته
في إطار خطة المحافظة لتطوير الميادين والحدائق مع الحفاظ على هويتها فضلًا عن زيادة المسطحات الخضراء، تنفيذًا لتوجيهات القيادة السياسية للاتجاه نحو المدن الخضراء للحد من التغيرات المناخية، افتتح اللواء محمد الشريف، محافظ الإسكندرية، ميدان زويل بحي وسط بعد الانتهاء من تطويره ورفع كفاءته، وذلك في إطار مسابقة «الإسكندرية تتألق بميادينها»
وتفقد المحافظ أعمال الإضاءة التي تتم من خلال استخدام الخلايا الضوئية؛ استعدادًا لاستخدام الطاقة الشمسية كمصدر للكهرباء، كتجربة من المقرر تعميمها في باقي الميادين الرئيسية. كما تفقد أعمال تطوير ورفع كفاءة ميدان الغزالتين وميدان الهلال والمكعب
وأكد المحافظ أن أعمال تطوير الميادين وتحويلها إلى واجهات حضرية جاذبة، ضمن خطة متكاملة تستهدف تأهيل وتنمية المدينة بزيادة المساحات الخضراء مع استخدام الأضواء وأعمال التشجير والزراعات لتعزيز المظاهر الجمالية للإسكندرية
وأضاف الشريف أن “الإسكندرية تتألق بميادينها “ مسابقة جديدة من نوعها هدفها الأساسي خلق روح تنافسية بين الأجهزة التنفيذية بالأحياء لبذل أقصى جهد لتطوير ورفع كفاءة الميادين والحدائق العامة، وذلك

“Zewail Square” in the central district of Alexandria is illuminated with photovoltaic cells after developing and raising its efficiency.
Within the framework of the governorate’s plan to develop squares and gardens while preserving their identity as well as increasing green areas, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to move towards green cities to reduce climate change, Major General Mohamed El-Sherif, Governor of Alexandria, inaugurated Zewail Square in the central district after completing its development and raising its efficiency, within the framework of the competition «Alexandria shines in its fields»
The Governor inspected the lighting works carried out using photovoltaic cells, in preparation for the use of solar energy as a source of electricity, as an experiment to be rolled out in the rest of the main fields. He also inspected the work of developing and raising the efficiency of Al-Ghazaltain Square, Al-Hilal Square and Al-Cube.
The Governor stressed that the work of developing the squares and converting them into attractive urban facades, as part of an integrated plan aimed at rehabilitating and developing the city by increasing green spaces with the use of lights, afforestation, and plantings to enhance the aesthetic aspects of Alexandria
El-Sherif added that “Alexandria shines with its fields” is a new competition of its kind whose main goal is to create a competitive spirit among the executive agencies in the neighborhoods to exert maximum effort to develop and raise the efficiency of public squares and parks, and that
