بينما القي الندوة د. شيرين هاشم مستشار الاعلام التربوي ،وتطوير المؤسسات التعليمية الدولية، والمحررة والترجمة بجريدتي المساء العربي ،ووطني نيوز الدولية.
والتي بدورها القت الضوء عن دور الاعلام بشكل عام، وأهم وسائل التقليدية التي شملت الوسائل المرئية المسموعة ،المكتوبة ،المطبوعة،
كما شملت ايض وسائل الإعلام الجديد، فيما تسمي بوسائل الاعلام الرقمية أو وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي كما هو متعارف عليه.
في حين ابرزت المحاضرة أهمية وسائل الإعلام للمجتمعات والتي تساهم بشكل فعال في توصيل المعلومات، و الايضاح ،وتقديم المنوعات الترفيهية ،و التثقيفية ،
وكذلك أهمية الاعلام في التعليم، كما يعد وسيلة من وسائل الانتشار السريع للمعلومات، والترويج السريع للسلع والشركات والمؤسسات ،والتي تعد خدمات إقتصادية يقدمها الاعلام، إضافة إلي ترويجه للأفراد علي نحو شخصي يرفع من قيمة الفرد والمجتمع علي حد سواء.
كما تحدثت د. شيرين عن أثار الاعلام الإيجابية و السلبية ،بوسائله المتعددة ، والتي تعد سلاح ذو حدين، بحيث يمكنها الارتقاء بالمجتمع، أو التدني به في كافة مجالات الحياة.
وفي نهاية حديثها عرضت بعض الحلول المجتمعية التي من شأنها الحفاظ علي صحة وسلامة المتلقي أخلاقيا وثقافيا
،بأن يبدأ بنفسه أولا في تحليل ونقد كل ما يستقبله من معلومات علي كافة الاصعدة ،قبل أن يبدأ في تداولها مع الآخرين ،
وكذلك توعية الأبناء لضرورة الانتباه الي مصادر المعلومات وضرورة البحث عن المصادر الشرعية للمعلومات، وتحليل ما وراء السطور بتحكيم المنطق والعقل قبل تصديق المعلومة أو الانسياق وراء أكاذيبها ،
ونصحت الاباء بضرورة الاهتمام بالتثقيف الاعلامي الذاتي وتعلم كيفية التعامل مع الاعلام الرقمي، مواكبة أحدث التطورات التكنولوجية والتي خرجت عن السيطرة بظهور الذكاء الاصطناعي ودخوله في الاعلام والذي قد ينتج عنه كوارث قد تودي بالمجتمع بأسره اذا لم يتم التعامل معه بوعي و حرص شديدين

The impact of traditional media and new media on society and public opinion
The symposium was moderated by Dr. Amani Abdel Gawad, Director of the Executive Office of the Leaders Foundation in Alexandria,
While the symposium was delivered by Dr. Sherine Hashem is an educational media advisor and international educational institution development consultant, and editor and translator at Al-Massa Al-Arabi and Watani News International newspapers.
Which in turn shed light on the role of the media in general, and the most important traditional means, which included audio-visual, written, and printed means.
It also included new media, which are called digital media or social media as it is known.
While the lecture highlighted the importance of the media for societies, which contribute effectively to conveying information, clarification, and providing entertainment and educational variety,
As well as the importance of the media in education, as it is a means of rapid dissemination of information, and rapid promotion of goods, companies and institutions, which are economic services provided by the media, in addition to its promotion of individuals in a personal way that raises the value of the individual and society alike.
As Dr. spoke. Sherine talked about the positive and negative effects of the media, through its various means, which are considered a double-edged sword, as they can advance society or degrade it in all areas of life.
At the end of her speech, she presented some societal solutions that would preserve the health and safety of the recipient, morally and culturally
To begin by himself first analyzing and criticizing all the information he receives at all levels, before he begins to circulate it with others.
As well as educating children about the necessity of paying attention to sources of information and the necessity of searching for legitimate sources of information, and analyzing what is behind the lines using logic and reason before believing the information or being led by its lies.
She advised parents of the need to pay attention to self-media education and learn how to deal with digital media, keeping up with the latest technological developments, which have gotten out of control with the emergence of artificial intelligence and its entry into the media, which may result in disasters that could kill the entire society if it is not dealt with with great awareness and care.
